i've decided to do the majority of my "modeling" for my store from now on. i say "modeling" because i am nowhere close to being a model. i mean, i'm shaped like a pear and i'm about 5'5", but whatever, i do my best. anyway, I recently bought a nikon d80. totally worth the $600, by the way. i also bought a lighting setup that came with this awful white background that would wash out most of the color in the photos. so i though, hey why not a grey backdrop? i found this weird stretchy grey sheet or whatever it is at a thrift store last week for $3. the thing is about 15 feet long for no reason, but it's perfect. The only thing that annoys me is you can see the wrinkles in it, so i'll have to take some time and iron it. It really made the colors pop. I also bought a portrait lens for my nikon. my friend nessa, who is the best photographer i know, recommended it. it's fucking perfect because it auto focuses. it was the best $100 i've spent in a while. i've been taking photos of myself for the ebay store for about two and a half years or so, i suppose. i've always used the self timer. it always sucked because i'd have to press a button and run back to where i was "modeling", but now...dun dun dun i have a remote. it's only about 3"x1", so i can just hold it in my hand and it doesn't show in the photos. well, at least most of the time.
so here's some photos i took last week.

the last photo is absolutely hilarious. all i need are some huge gold hoop earrings and high top reeboks. LJO. for real.
